This Privacy Policy explains how TaxTime Advisors ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use our website and tax-filing services. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Identity & contact details — name, email, phone number, PAN and Aadhaar (where required for filing).
- Financial information — Form 16, salary, TDS, interest, capital gains, deductions and other data needed to prepare your return.
- Documents you upload — such as Form 16, broker statements and proofs of deduction.
- Usage data — basic analytics about how you use the site (pages visited, device, approximate location).
2. How we use your information
- To prepare, review and e-file your Income Tax Return.
- To provide expert assistance and respond to your queries (including over WhatsApp).
- To send filing reminders, status updates and service communications.
- To improve our platform and comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We file directly through the official Income Tax Department portal. We do not sell your data. We share information only with: the government e-filing portal, the Chartered Accountant assigned to your return, and trusted service providers (e.g. secure hosting, payments) under confidentiality obligations — or when required by law.

We use 256-bit encryption in transit and at rest, follow ISO-grade security practices, and restrict access to your data on a need-to-know basis. See our Security page for details.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide services and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
